Alan inherited the 'Gregg Fiddle' after his wifes death(Mary Gregg P509) and later gave it away to a friend (James Niven) who eventually gave it it to John Weir (Chairman of Bachelors Club Tarbolton). J Weir presented it to the National Trust for Scotland in 1997 via Wallace Galbriath(Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra leader).
